Effective date: April 25, 2026 | Revised draft: October 2, 2026
The Voice of Women, LLC honors women’s stories through storytelling, education, advocacy, and healing. These Terms and Conditions explain your responsibilities when using our website, submitting stories, or attending events.
1. Accepting These Terms
By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you disagree, please stop using the site. We may update these terms by posting changes here. Your continued use means you accept the updated terms.
2. About Us and Our Content
Founded by Essie Beamon-Caldwell, The Voice of Women, LLC is a Maryland limited liability company dedicated to preserving women’s voices and supporting empowerment across generations.
Our content supports education, storytelling, ceremony, and advocacy. It does not provide legal, medical, mental health, or financial advice. We are not a licensed counseling or healthcare provider. Seek qualified professionals when needed. Personal stories do not guarantee similar outcomes.
3. Respectful Website Use
Use this website respectfully and follow applicable laws. Do not harass others, submit false or harmful information, violate anyone’s rights, or interfere with website security or operations.
4. Copyright and Content Permissions
Our original text, artwork, logos, music, stories, educational materials, and frameworks belong to The Voice of Women, LLC, Essie Beamon-Caldwell, or their respective rights holders. Applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws protect this material.
Do not copy, modify, publish, distribute, perform, or commercially use protected content without permission, except as allowed by law. Contact us for permission requests.
5. Events and Participation
Participation in our educational, restorative, and ceremonial events is voluntary. Follow event guidelines and facilitator instructions, and respect other participants.
Events may involve sensitive emotional or spiritual content. You accept participation risks to the extent permitted by law. We may decline attendance, revoke invitations, or change or cancel events. We will make reasonable efforts to notify participants.
Photography, recording, and livestreaming require our written permission. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for injury, property loss, emotional distress, or losses caused by event changes.
6. Story Submissions and Ownership
Your story remains yours. By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, publish, and distribute it for our mission, including publications, documentaries, educational materials, and archives.
You confirm that your submission is truthful, that you own it or have permission to share it, and that it respects others’ rights. We may edit for clarity, length, or sensitivity without changing its meaning. We handle stories with care and cultural respect.
To request removal, contact us in writing. We will make reasonable efforts to remove it within 30 days, except from works already published or distributed. Submissions involving minors require written parent or guardian consent. We honor anonymous submissions unless disclosure is required by law.
7. Privacy and Website Services
We use information you provide, such as contact details, stories, and event registrations, to support our work. We do not sell or rent your personal information or share it for third-party commercial purposes. Trusted service providers may process information for operational needs.
See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details, including website data collection. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your information. We use reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee complete security.
Our website uses WordPress and third-party services. Relevant provider policies apply to those services. External links do not imply endorsement. We do not control third-party content, privacy practices, availability, or technical performance.
8. Communications
If you provide contact details, we may send communications about our work, events, and storytelling initiatives. You may opt out of non-essential messages by contacting us or using an available unsubscribe link.
9. Disclaimers and Liability
The website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, complete accuracy, or freedom from technical problems.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the organization, founder, members, officers, agents, volunteers, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages related to website use, content, events, data breaches, or service interruptions, regardless of the legal basis of the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the organization, founder, members, officers, agents, volunteers, and affiliates against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your website use, violation of these terms, or infringement of others’ rights.
10. Governing Law and Agreement
Maryland law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes must be brought in Maryland state or federal courts; you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified where possible or removed; the remaining terms continue to apply. These terms and referenced policies form the complete agreement for website use and replace earlier agreements on that subject.
